Looking for something fancier, opt for the abounding abundance menu from 22 to 24 January, which features a special spread of delights such as the umami satay duck leg, zesty fresh prawn cakes and the chilli jam lobster. Brunch never goes out of style, so why not have a daytime reunion instead? The Opus Bar & Grill at voco Orchard Singapore will be putting a Lunar New Year spin on their classic Sunday brunch menu with treats such as the lap mei claypot rice with mini abalone, mala seafood pot featuring tiger prawns and crab, and pan seared foie gras with mandarin orange gel. Don’t forget classic desserts such as mango sago pomelo pudding and red bean soup with rice dumplings to wrap things up.

Now, this one is truly bang for your buck with the Feasts of Fortune buffet at only $79++ for lunch and $108++ for dinner from 2 January to 5 February. The menu includes an array of Asian bites such as the Hong Kong-style wok crab, the szechuan pepper lamb chops, morsels of dim sum fare and sashimi. Of course, if you are looking for a fuss-free reunion, the restaurant will be serving a dedicated buffet spread from 21 to 24 January with delectable classics and an impressive snow crab tower.

No one can refuse the decadence of Peranakan food. From 9 January to 5 February, Chef Damian D’Silva has crafted a Lunar New Year a la carte menu that will have us salivating with dishes such as the red grouper steamed in soy milk and topped with his signature sauce and the braised pork knuckle. Diners may also order his classics such as the fan-favourite buah keluak fried rice, babi pongteh and beef cheek rendang to curb any cravings that you might have. Oh, and don't sleep on the assorted kuehs of the day for desset.

If you and the family want to do something extra bougie this year, head to Shang Palace at Shangri-La Singapore for stunning Cantonese fare unlike any other. Starting on 9 January, the restaurant will offer four different set menus with eight courses that are packed with abalone, bird’s nest, truffle dishes and many more.
