aka the ones that passed our vibe check (get it?).

Equal parts delicate and feminine, and cool and modern. Anok Yai's sheer lace gown from Olivier Theyskens hits the sweet spot, resembling a dainty piece of historical fashion, as well as the insanely popular sheer panelled mock neck tops of today.

Originally a tacky, dark moment of the Y2K era, the denim red carpet look has been transformed by Hunter Schafer into an absolute Moment™ with a sleek, back-baring dress by Rick Owens. Resembling velvet, or perhaps an oil slick, the dress's subtle colour gradients are what makes it an absolute favourite look of ours (and the Internet's).

Kelly Rowland's sheer bodycon dress is an absolute showstopper-- perfectly form-fitting, with shimmery vertical ribbing that served as the perfect subtle accents. But the real star of the show were the extravagant fringed sleeves, which added an extra dramatic flair to the look.

Megan Thee Stallion's recent red carpet looks seem to draw heavy inspiration from the classic Old Hollywood glamour, often incorporating sweetheart necklines, sculptural accents, and sparkly embellishments into her looks. Her Oscars look fit the bill for all three, an elegant yet ethereal look that resembled sculpted water.

Layers of deconstructed tulle in a romantic off-the-shoulder neckline, delicately draped over a corset completed with satin boning channels... Normani's Oscars After Party look was the embodiment of Jean Paul Gaultier's style, which teeters between dreamy and grungy.

Last but certainly not least is certified emo and pop-punk artist, Willow. Willow's look perfectly captured her personal fashion and music style; from the leather trench, to the cut out biker gloves and tiny hacker shades. Extra points for her extra-sick jewellery pieces, especially the spider choker.
