Slinky, laid-back French style with sporty influences. Yum.

No one does effortless, sensual fashion quite like French fashion label Jacquemus. Since the launch of his eponymous brand, Simon Porte Jacquemus has stopped the fashion world dead in its tracks on numerous occasions; with the release of now-iconic pieces such as Le Chiquito, which rode the wave of the small purse trend and shrunk them down even further, to the skin-baring yet relaxed designs which bring languid Summer days spent in the French countryside to mind.

The French designer label is once again bringing something new to the fashion table this June, with the launch of the Jacquemus x Nike collaborative collection. The collection was teased via a post on Jacquemus's Instagram account, featuring a monochromatic scene of a tennis court embellished with the logos of both brands. Quick, minimalistic, and clean, the original teaser post was soon followed up by sneak peeks of the designing process behind the collection.

The collection will reportedly feature 15 pieces in a neutral colour palette with designs inspired by Nike's vintage ACG (All Conditions Gear) lines, with a focus on women's styles. Additionally, the lineup will include a new iteration of the Humara sneaker, a favourite of Simon Porte's. Blending the house styles of both brands, the collection will combine the unique silhouettes and details of Jacquemus with Nike's iconic swoosh logo, performance materials and athletic influences, as observed on the Instagram post featuring a bodycon white dress with sporty Y-back detailing and strategically-placed cutouts, complete with a delicate gold Nike pendant.
Besides the reveal of the backless tennis dress shown above, Jacquemus has yet to release further teaser images of the rest of the collection. Stay tuned until the 28th of June, when the collection will be officially launched online at Jacquemus.com.
